YEUNG and FUNG are sad to hear that YUE, who was demoted earlier, has just passed away. FUNG blames YI for failing to distinguish right from wrong. YEUNG has no choice but to reveal the truth to him. YI sends YEUNG out of the Palace to look for loyal officials who will stick by him. He asks YEUNG to compile a name list and keep it carefully. YEUNG goes to say goodbye to HO, during which CHI comes along with his assistants and rebukes YEUNG for keeping a long list of names of the rebellious officials.
